DJ Whoo Kid to Be Guest Episode Announcer at AEW Grand Slam

The press release tells us:

Legendary host Shade 45 DJ/Radio DJ Whoo Kid has been selected as the special guest announcer at the second annual AEW Grand Slam Gala at the all-sold-out Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, New York. This is the only night of the year that AEW stars have dominated New York City, the mecca of professional wrestling. This show will also feature another hip-hop character, Action Rapper Bronson as he makes his ring debut with AEW in collaboration with the AEW superstar.

This is clearly a direct shot of WWE’s use of Rosenberg, who is also a hip-hop radio DJ working on Hot 97 in New York City. And according to Whoo Kid, this might just be the beginning.

I am excited to be a part of this event. It promises a lot of surprises in store. As a radio personality and co-host, I’m looking forward to branching out and announcing a wrestling match. I hope this is just the beginning of being a part of the AEW family.

With DJ Whoo Kid in place, all AEW needs now is a radio shock game to take on WWE Sam Roberts. Maybe AEW can convince Sam’s old boss, Obi, out of retirement (Anthony It will be more convenient to work in order to control your narrative).

AEW Grand Slam It takes place on Wednesday, September 21 and Friday, September 23. Grand Slam Dynamite It will air on TBS at 8pm on Wednesday, and frenzy It will air at 10 p.m. Friday on TNT for a two-hour special.
