Previously, we logged in with Grant Justin, Candice Patton & Danielle Banabaker Before filming begins for the ninth and final season of The CW’s Sparkle, each presenting their initial thoughts on the long, drawn-out Arrowverse series that is coming to an end. But now, it’s about getting started as filming for the last 13 episodes began last week. Gustin continues to preview his return to “Barry Hair” status last week with a big reveal this week. Taking to Instagram Stories, Gustin shared a look from his trailer wearing the flash suit… then driving home the significance of the photo: “Last time he wore the suit for a season…” Now, you’re probably feeling a slight delay before your “feelings” really start to hurt So take this time to check out the screenshot below:

Last month, Gustin shared a fan video via Instagram explaining that the finish line is nearing being “bitter” after “almost an incredible ten years” with the series. From there, he delivered waves of thanks and appreciation to everyone who took part in the journey and told fans that Barry Allen/The Flash is a character he’ll be proud to be known for all his life. “Thank you to all the Flash fans who helped us get this far. Let’s run again together,” Justin wrote in a comment on his Instagram post, but his accompanying video has a lot to say to fans and the show’s team:

But what if Season 8 Was it the last season? Wallace revealed in previous interviews that the Season 8 finale was first written as a series, with changes needed once the renewal notice arrived. Now thanks to the people at TVLineWe learn from showrunner & EP Eric Wallace What would viewers see if the series ended with eight seasons? While the final confrontation was between Barry, aka The Flash (Gustin), and Eobard Thawne, aka Reverse-Flash (Tom Kavanagh), even after Season 9 got the green light (“We were like, ‘Oh crap, we just had the final fight. How are we ever supposed to top it off?'” Then it was like, ‘Let’s just kill him now and worry about that later.’) Here’s a look at what was playing in the supposed series finale at the time:

“Sexier” and “Romantic” conversation between Barry & Iris: “We had to change the whole last scene. We had to rewrite it three different times. Because when the series ended, we had to have a more in-depth conversation with Barry and Iris, and deal with the fact that they were going to have kids soon. It was a little bit more engaging, And it was a more romantic scene. I really liked it.”

Flash team will get closure: “There could have been an extra scene with all the Flash members saying goodbye. But when we found out we had another season to play, it was like, ‘Oh, I can tease the Big Bad next year?'” Well, let’s do it!’ So this is the last scene [with the blue crystal] It changed drastically, and then the “Goodbye to Team Flash” party scene was completely deleted.
